Hello Everyone! My name is Rhett. I’m so excited to be looking for my furever home! If you want a fun loving snuggle bug who will follow you anywhere and love you forever, I’m your boy! Please contact Bonafied to find out more about me and set up a meet and greet to see if we get along. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I’m about 2-3 years old and I think I’m part Maltese and part Poodle. I’m around 9-10 lbs. and I have the coolest long legs! I’m neutered, up to date on all my shots and I’m even chipped. I am mostly potty trained, but I have to wear a diaper when foster mom leaves because I get sooo excited when she comes home, sometimes I wet myself. Foster mom has been using a diaper at night too because I was having a few accidents. I’m getting better though! I’ve not wet my diaper the last few nights! Oh, I will need regular grooming once my fur starts to grow out a bit more. I do not shed though. I have lots of energy if you want to play but I’m more than happy to curl up in your lap or next to you and snooze until you’re ready to go do something. I’m up for walks and do very well on a leash. I went to a Farmers Market and did really well with all the people and sat nicely when strangers wanted to pet me. I prefer to sleep in bed with you, touching you if possible, but I’m not a bed-hog. Food, oh food, don’t forget my food or my treats!! I will show you all kinds of excitement when you are making my breakfast or dinner! I have a cute trick too. I can sit on the ground and jump straight up about 2-3 ft and tap you on the backside on the way down while you’re making my dinner. Foster mom says it is really funny and since I don’t weigh much, it’s barely a tap. She says she’s going to miss the butt-pats when I get adopted. I was in pretty bad shape when Bonafied found me in that shelter. I had really long matted hair and my nails were over grown and I had a few sores on my skin. The shelter I was in had about given up on me thinking I was going to bite. Come to find out, all that matted hair and long nails were causing me a lot of pain, so I didn’t want anyone to touch me. Once all the hair was shaved off and my nails trimmed, I was more than happy to be cuddled and loved and rubbed. I’m still a little shy about strangers and until I get to know you, I might be a little “mouthy” on occasion, but foster mom says a little patience and correction when that happens, and I will stop all together. Foster mom hasn’t had to correct me in a long time. I am good with kids. I’ve played with a neighbor and he loves me! He comes and plays with me anytime I’m out when he is. I do get along with other dogs but I am not Cat tested. I’m currently in a foster home with five other dogs, all about my size or a little bigger. I like to play with a couple of them but I’m more than happy to be an “only child”, getting all the attention. I listen pretty well and don’t wander off if my leash is dropped. I can be very vocal. I will announce anyone at the door so you probably won’t ever need a doorbell again. My adoption fee is $350
